We have chicks!! Well, one anyway..the others are due anytime now. We had one that was just ready to pop. I got a little excited with the zoom feature on my camera and the pic came out blurry, but you get the idea. The setting hen is not the momma but will be a great surrogate. The other pic is of my lazy indoor critters, Sissy, Tani and Samuel. They sleep together all the time!

So, while I'm posting the latest, my kids are out climbing trees. I go out and nearly have a heart attack, they are so high up. Samuel, our black and white kitty, thinks the kids are a hoot and enjoys sitting at the bottom.

Well, we now have several more animals and more on the way. We just got four new kittens from a neighbor. Then, a few days later at the feed store, we fell in love with a mommy kitty and four kittens. So, now we have Milly, Callie, Sasha, Sheila, Michael, Tiffany, Gracie, and two unnamed little girls. We also just bought a boar who came with the name, Oscar. We are expecting two litters of piglets at the end of July. We also have 13 eggs under a momma chicken and expect them to hatch at the end of this month, beginning of May..somewhere in there. We are still looking for a horse for Caitlyn so that the kids and I can ride together. We finally got the runaway dog situation under control for the time being. We took the two smallest, Lolly and Pop, down to Carl's Mom's in Chino. We held onto Hershey and Daisy and they seem to be doing fine being left out. They haven't left once. My nephew, Sean, will be here next weekend, for my birthday, and is expected to stay with us for several weeks. We will be putting his little behind to work, let me tell ya! The weather is awesome right now with the nights a little chilly but not enough for a heater and the days are warm enough, we can open the doors for some fresh air. We are hoping to install a deck on the house next month and will have Carl's Dad, Riley, here to help us. We also have to build a shelter for the horses and (say your prayers!) a huge storage building. Oh, and of course, two new pens for the sows to have their litters of piglets. Whew, what a life!
