Well, today was Caitlyn's birthday. We made chicken 'n dumplings and a pizza-size cookie and took off to Grandma's house. We decorated the cookie and, personally, think it looks awesome and tasted even better. Caitlyn received her best birthday present ever today! She is now the proud owner of her very own horse, a beautiful Paso Fino mare named Sabrina. She is soft as silk and is gentle as a lamb. We all got to ride around and had a great day. As soon as we get the horse shelter built, we will be bringing Sabrina and Smarty, our gelding, up to the house. We are super excited!

A few days ago, the kids had a major meltdown missing Minnie. We tried to explain to them that we might not always know why things happen, but that they happen for a reason. Today, we believe we know the reason. We found Lollie and Pop, what appear to be Lab/Border Collie brother and sister, under a tree. They have now become new members of our new farm. They each get their names justly since they would be considered Lollies and Pop acts as Lollies' protector, standing over her whenever danger is present. What do you think?
