Well, I haven't posted anything since before Christmas so here goes..a lot has gone on..
Christmas was wonderful, as always. The kids made out like little bandits and we enjoyed ourselves immensely in our new home.
The New Year has proven interesting, to say the least. We went to the store the first week in January to get some groceries and wound up coming home with a kitten. Caitlyn saw the little boy across the parking lot! We named him Samuel and he is kind of an indoor-outdoor cat. He just loves to play with Tani and has turned into a wonderful little critter.
On the 7th, we lost Caitlyn's horse, Sabrina, to colic. I don't ever want to bury another horse as long as I live. We had to get a neighbor in with a backhoe to dig the hole deep enough.
Then, on the 9th, we took Austin in to have a mole removed and discovered that the truck was blowing oil out the rear end. We took it into the dealership immediately and rented a car, so Carl could get to work and home. Within two hours, we shopped for and purchased an '05 Kia Sedona as a second vehicle, and promptly returned the rental car with 3 miles on it and a bill of $42. Ticked me off! But, we shouldn't have to rent another car again now that we have constant transportation. Austin's mole turned out to be one that could spread so we had to take him back in last week so that the doc could do minor surgery to remove it all. He had a mini-face lift next to his right ear and ended up with 7 stitches. He's proud of his stitches.
The hogs are getting really big and should be ready to butcher soon. Guess I'll add more as events occur.
